Since wild horses are not native animals to this area why should we save them?

There not native to our region? Wild Horses have been in Arizona since, at the very least, the 1800's.

I don't want to see the wild horses go. They are such beautiful animals. The should be able to roam the great wild forever and should be protected. Horses in general are amazing smart animals who serve so many purposes in the daily lives of so many people in this day and age and in our history.

I had no idea that there was a threat to these horses until now.

Where we live ,they roam on the reservation,and yearly they are rounded up and taken to auction,and adopt a horse.Those who adopt are watched by the agency from what I know of are well taken care of.I agree hockeymom they are native to Az.
