This is an election year. What Arpaio is doing is trying to prove how "tough" he is. I'm all for arresting illegals but not in the grandstanding fashion he is now doing. With Mother's day and Father's day coming up, expect to see another bout of his grandeious "dog and pony show" antics. If he's so concerned about crime, why doesn't he clean up his own office of the corruption and mismanagement? Why was the felony warrants team of officers replaced with a team that only works child support warrants? Are the ones who don't pay child support more dangerous than the murderors, rapists and other violent criminals who have warrants that noone is looking for? Why does he allow supervisors to threaten and intimidate their workers? Why are some employees allowed to violate state and federal laws concerning the criminal justice computer systems with no fear of punshiment? I know these are all facts. I worked there for 14 years but had to quit after such severe harassment and open hostility by 2 supervisors as to place my health and my life in jeporday. One "supervisor" allowed a person that was not authorized by DPS to access information throught their system. She was promoted! This "supervisor" also took home office mail to process, found a white powder in an envelope and brought it back into the office. She was rewarded for finding the powder, not reprimanded for bringing it back instead of calling her local police agency. Anyone that opposses Arpaio is fully investigated by his aides. This is a violation of state and federal rule as it is not in connection with a criminal activity but for his own personal use. That makes him a CRIMINAL! Yet noone will investigate his illegal and unethical activites. If he get's reelected (shudder the thought), expect more pompous and arragont displays as the ones he is currently engaged in!

The Arizona Humane Soceity did nothing wrong. They do a good job evaluating animals to be placed for adoption. What did the people who originally adopted the dog do to it? Why did they give it away? All dog breeds have the potential to be dangerous. They are animals. I have owned boxers, labs, heelers, crossbreeds, borzois, salukis and poodles. The ones to be trusted the least are small dogs. My 50+ years experience with dogs have shown they are the ones that snap and bite the most. Any bull-type dog can be deadly if something sets them off. My extremely gentle boxer became a terror when a neighbor's pig got into the yard and she tore into it. Normaly she sleeps with my cats and will walk away from her bowl if a cat wants to eat out of it. Right now she is sleeping on the couch with 2 cats. Any dog breed can turn in a heartbeat.

I don't feel Matt did anything wrong. He was trying to heal quicker to get back in the game. Not everyone out there abuses drugs like Bonds and McGuire.
