Massive natural gas sell-off, U.S. economic concerns help drive market
NEW YORK - Oil prices fell below $130 a barrel for the first time in more than a month Thursday, as a dramatic slide entered a third day along with a sharp sell-off in natural gas.
The declines accelerated amid growing concerns about the weakening U.S. economy.
“The entire buillish scenario ... is starting to crack,” said James Cordier, president of Tampa, Fla.-based trading firms Liberty Trading Group and OptionSellers.com.

Is this a teaser or the actual beginning of a downward trend in oil prices. Has the fact that American's waking up in a crises and turning to alternative means of transportation and making drastic lifestyle changes caused this downward trend? Lets just hope, that we as a nation has alarmed the oil mongers with our show of intent to do without their oil.
I just want to applaud America for proving we are resilient even in a crisis. Yah, I know we sure whined alot, but with our eyes closed, we are doing something about it.
As one Blog member has said many times... buy American gas! At least keep doing so until more alternative means becomes available to us or until the price at the pumps is way below 3.00 a gallon. We need to pull this off in every State and City. The less money those Arabs earn from us, the less US property they can buy from us!
If America is for sale... I don't mind it being sold to foreigners but when they buy property such as the Chrysler Building financed by the fortunes they made off Americans from raising the cost of oil on us.... that just really chaps my hide!

I just heard that Abu Dhabi Investment bought 75% of the Chrysler Building! That is a serious American monument that now belongs to the Sands of Time.
Is this a sign of things to come? Our pain at the pump is financing the sale of America to the very people that are responsible for our demise.
You know these things happen to us and we just tend to shrug it off. Our nations priorities just isn't moving fast enough or maybe we don't even know what our priorities are. We're a melting pot of free speach, thought and opinions.
Do you think a national weekly boycott on gas would cause the Arabs to lower prices? Americans consistently buys gas daily, but what if we designated every Thursday to shutting down the pumps across America and no one buys gas? Would that put some kind of dent in the Arabs strategy and force prices down? Could America survive a day without gas?
I'd like to know your thoughts. I'm just tired of watching America fall apart because of oil.

Did anyone see World News last night about the there being more oil in the US than all of the middle east?
Thats right! In Rifle Colorado there is trillions of barrels of oil in the shale rock! Supposedly their are some issues to extracting the oil due to another serious commodity such as water. I think if we can drill in the middle of the ocean we surely could overcome a water obstacle.
Experts have known about this for years. There is even a secret refinery project that has been in place for years. I think if they stepped it up a notch we can reduce our independency on foreign oil if not drop our dependency altogether.
Foreget drilling in the Ocean over the next 10yrs and start drilling in Colorado!
Give a shout out?

It seems Ludicrous that in the midst of our planets peril that Scientist's would continue an "Is there life on Mars Program" wasting Billions of dollars on something that will never come to fruition.
Who cares if there is life or water on Mars? What about our life and water on Earth? Really Now! How will scientists continue their research when earth has been obliviated by Global Warming?
Instead of seeing how their little robot on Mars can barely scoop up soil for research on the news every night. I'd rather hear how Scientist's are making giant leaps in reducing greenhouse gasses or improving transportation without reliance on Foreign oil.
If Scientists seriously believe that they could make Mars inhabitable one day for Humans. Ha! Then they could easily SAVE Earth!
Cmon guys! Stop the rediculous Mar's Program and join the Earth Program! Look, we have water and life!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How bout that!
