When does the media stop their trotting out the polls one right after another?

The newspapers and the tvs and internet news sites need to back off and stop influencing the outcome of these elections.  This one especially.  Let the public make up it's own mind.  Stop mentioning that this candidate is ahead in this poll or that state has turned red or blue.  Let the voters have space to make up their minds without undue influence.

It's not like there hasn't been enough campaigning coming at us each and every day.  You've done your job.  Everyone knows this is an election year and that they need to get out there and vote.  There will be plenty for you to cover AFTER the last person has voted.  We all have a right to cast our vote and we all have the right to think our vote matters.  Trying to call the outcome and/or force the outcome more than a week ahead does an injustice to many voters and this country.

Last year public campaign funds were good enough for both candidates.  This year Barak changes his mind and decides the guy with the most toys (or money) wins.  That glistening in the eyes is not from the bright lights but money greed.  With talk of bailing out one institution after another Barak keeps raking in the money.  Money he is not completely forthcoming about all donors.  To buy 30 minutes of air time.  So he can stand alone in the spotlight.  Money that could be better spent in this economy.

Per former Senator Kerry of Nebraska, "a hypocrite is a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue -- who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings. And that, it seems to me, is what we are doing now."

When people on the street were asked for the first word that came to mind about each candidate, one response is so true.  Cocky.  Barak appears Cocky.  Overly self-confident.  Arrogant.  Conceited.

Not what I want in a President.

Try as I might I can't figure out why we received 2 Sample Ballots last week.

We mailed in our votes early.  Should there not be a way for the left hand to tell the right hand if you rec'd early voting materials, not to send Sample Ballots?  Not only is that a waste of time, paper and mailing expense, but ti was also in both languages.

Talk about saving taxpayers' money.  Start here.

This year especially, when our country is experiencing economic troubles, why does a candidate need $158 Million Dollars?

There are so many other areas where this money could be put to better use.

Frivolous?  Excess?  A sample of his spending IF he gets to the White House?  You betcha.

Maybe I'm missing something, no matter how unlikely, it's possible.

We've got this bail out and that bail out and just spitting out figures right and left.

With all the additions and changes and improvements and what not on this Bailout Package, I am not seeing how this is helping those families that are foreclosing on their homes.  Those families that make up the core of this country.

How the heck does helping makers of wooden toy bow and arrows help these families keep their homes?  I know Washington works in mysterious ways, but come on guys.

It seems our lawmakers are helping everybody and their brothers and sister-in-laws and anyone else with a hand in the cookie jar except where the American people are asking for help.

I have no idea who this Susan Bitter Smith person is but I'm getting a bitter taste with the overabundance of air time.  Somebody has way too much campaign funds to waste.  There ought to be a law how many times the same ad can be run in a half hour time period.  If she was in my district she could forget my vote just for being so annoying.

And we have how long to go yet?

Beware of Politicians bearing gifts.  The next time they try to tell you they want to do us a favor and put a hold on the Gas Tax for the summer, let them know we are not as dumb as they would believe.  Who and how would they make up that difference?  Because someone at sometime will have to if we want to maintain our Federal and State highways.  If not during the summer then I guess we will be expected to catch up the rest of the year.

Thanks but no thanks.

Yes Monica questions can be directed at Chelsea. She's on the campaign trail isn't she? If she has a problem with it, tell her to go talk to her father. He's the one that used our Oval Office for his sexcapades. And lied about it. He made it public property.

The question is not how one puts on his pants.  We all do one leg at a time.  The question we should be asking is how come our elected officials can't keep their pants on!

All through the political arena men are more focused on what's in their pants than on their agenda.  In no particular order -

President Bill Clinton
NY Gov Eliot Spitzer
new NY Gov David A. Paterson
Cincinnati's city councilman Jerry Springer
former Colorado Senator Gary Hart
Florida Congressman Mark Foley
Senator Larry Craig
Louisiana Senator David Vitter
Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick
Senator Jack Ryan
Louisiana Rep. Bob Livingston
Oregon Senator Bob Packwood
Rep Barney Frank of Massachusetts
New Jersey Gov James E. McGreevey
Maryland Gov Marvin Mandel
Maryland Rep. Robert E. Bauman
House Speaker Newt Gingrich

The roster just seems to keep on growing.  Which really says a lot about our Country and our Government.  These people are our elected officials.  We knowingly elect corrupted people to office.  Because anyone that cheats on their spouse whom they have sworn to love and cherish, is going to lie to and cheat this Country.  And the ones who lie about the affairs after being caught are even more despicable.  And we continue to elect these people.  Why?

I was standing in the Post Office  today in a very long line.  Most of the people there were not speaking English.  They were there to get paperwork or instructions on passports.  And they all had little ones.   Since I was standing there with no place to go I had a lot of time on my hands.  About those 13 to 30 million illegals that are here already.  Those illegals that are propagating.  In 2-3 more presidential primaries how many do you think there will be?  How many will be voters by then if the present candidates have their way?  You know, it's not that far down the road.    If you don't think our vote counts for much now, just wait until English becomes the second language here and ballots are only in Spanish.

How sure are you that that can't happen.   Do the math.

Are you hoping to influence voters with your poll this morning?

Give me a break!

What makes an actor a good judge when it comes to picking our next president?  Just because they are in the movies does not mean they are a better judge of character or have a firm grasp of the issues.  I look to entertainers for entertainment.   I don't want a president who is the most popular.  I want one that can do the job.

Excuse me, but is this a political or a religious rally that Obama and Opra have taken on the road?  All it was missing was the "Praise the Lord" and "Pass the Hat".

We don't need entertainment.  We need a candidate that can step up to the plate and state where they stand on the important issues.  The ones that count with the voters.  And in English please.

I get robbed, the robber has more rights than me.
I get attacked, the attacker has more rights than me.
I get killed, the killer has more rights than me. My dog gets attacked, my dog has more rights than me. Minorities have rights activists.
Animals have rights activists.
I am a white, older middle-aged legal born here voting tax paying citizen living in middle Southwest USA.   What happened to my rights? I have the right to have my country's borders, jobs, social security, and my life protected. Why is some judge more concerned over a criminal illegals' rights than mine?   Who stands up for my rights?  Who puts me first?

We moved here 10 years ago. CA and IA transplants that love the "dry heat". Family scattered all over those states and also FL, SD, CO, OR and Taiwan. We think we're the sensible ones. We lost our two vibrant 86 year old mothers recently. Mine to Pancreatic Cancer in September 2007. Up until her diagnosis it was something I had only heard about in passing. During her illness we uncovered a wealth of information on-line. Facts unfortunately we did not want to learn. Well, with God's blessing, Mom went very quickly. Dad takes Mom flowers every Saturday morning. We had that April wedding. Daughter and new son-in-law are back in Taiwan after enjoying San Francisco. New beginnings. Son back to college. Daughter and son-in-law in Florida continue to chronicle both grandchildren long-distance. Our grandson has advanced to 4th Grade. Yeah!! We knew you could do it! We be proud. ADHD isn't gonna win. Granddaughter starts kindergarten soon. She says she will NOT get homework. Only brother gets homework. I feel issues on the horizon. We count our blessings we are still both here to witness it all!
