SUMMER GAMES

I haven't watched the Olympics since I was a kid-- so I was surprised that I actually had an interest in tuning in this year. There were even events I had never heard of-- like the TRAMPOLINE! How bizarre!
Did any of y'all get to watch?? (when you weren't watching FOX 10 News, of course), and if so, what was your favorite event?
It's amazing some of the things the human body is capable of. Running at 30 mph, bending your legs so far back they almost touch your head, and hurling yourself from the same height of a 3-story building- all while doing flips in the air.
I always wanted to be an Olympian....unfortunately, power sleeping isn't a sport....
At least, not yet. :)

It's smackdown, Indy style! Danica Patrick vs. Mila Duno
By now, I'm sure you've seen the video (if not, it's here on our website). The two female drivers get into a bit of a spat-- with cameras rolling.
Danica was upset because Duno wouldn't get out of her way during a practice run, so she marches over to her pit, and calls her out.
Duno, throws a towel at her-- twice.
Who was in the wrong here? Any opinions?
LITTLE BLUE PILL

The New York Daily News is reporting that Roger Clemens took Viagra to boost performance-- and we're not talkin' bedroom action here....
The report says he used it to help him on the pitcher's mound...and that use of the "little blue pill is rampant in pro-sports locker rooms.
The drug is legal, and not banned by MLB or other leagues...
The article says a study is now underway to determine if the drug can be used to cheat in sports competitions.
Opinions, anyone?

Yes, I admit it....my loyalty is usually with Texas teams...so naturally, I'd root for the Spurs, right?
Nah...
I think I'm going to cheer on the Suns this time around, even though they got spanked the first two games. It would be great to see them win!!
TEXAS VS. ASU

I know, I know... I live in Phoenix, I should be an ASU fan now, right?
Sorry to say, I'm still rooting for the Texas Longhorns in the Holiday Bowl.
I'm sure this won't make me the most popular person here in Phoenix come December 27th...but Texas is my alma mater...and I love my school!

D-BACKS TICKETS

Whether you're a D-backs fan or not, you have to admit, playing in the National League Championship Series is exciting!
This is what I find bizarre-- as of today, there are still 8,000 tickets remaining for each of the games on Thursday and Friday! You would think many people would rush to buy tickets, but apparently that's not the case.
If I wasn't working, I would definately go and enjoy the game!
What do you think of this? Are people just uninterested, too busy to attend, or just opting to watch it on TV instead???
I'm interested to hear your opinions!!
LANDIS LOSES

It's been announced that 2006 Tour de France champ Floyd Landis will be stripped of his title. He'll also be subject to a two-year ban.
This, after he was found guilty of using synthetic testosterone to fuel his comeback victory...althought Landis has denied doing so.
Just wondering, what does everyone think of this? I know doping within sports has been a hot topic lately...
