Over the Land of the FREE and the Home of the BRAVE?

Does it?

It may still Wave but over the Land of What...?   The Oppressed and Over Regulated too Busy buying T.V.s and the Latest Phone to See the Flag Removed from the Pole?

What have we Allowed Ourselves to Become?   What Part of Our Soul have we Destroyed or Locked Away that Remembered Freedom and Liberty ?

Is our Comfort, Our Welfare so cheaply Bought with the Death of Freedom?  Our Children Sold into Government Bondage for the Price of Liberty?  What Evil, What Illness has Blinded the Citizens of this Great Nation to the Destruction of their Rights?

Are We Now ready to accept the Chains of Socialism at the Grave of the Constitution?  Does Our Past Mean Nothing?  Are there no Ardent Patriots to say,"This Far...NO Farther!!"

I have said that I am not sure we have the Caliber of Great Men today as we did at the Founding of this Country.   I have said that we Lack the Pioneer Spirit that has Built this Nation.  I have said that We As Citizens Do not Deserve Our Freedom if we Do Not Fight for every Single Scrap!

 What I say Matters Little.....

What WE Say Means Everything......

Are we Still the Land of the BRAVE........

That will Fight to be FREE?

Here here Patch, well said. I too have often wondered if the men who "claim" to be serve this country(politically)really are or are they just serving themselves to greater riches no matter what the cost. I believe the latter.

Where are the men with integrity, with belief's in "freedom" and the "American dream"
where are all the men of valor, with chivalrous conduct? Are all the ardent Patriots in Iraq(or other conflicts?) fighting for freedom, with NO SAY in what happens to their family's or their own home's. And why cant we have these type of individuals serving in Congress? serving as President of the United States? Why cant these type of people even be serving at our State and Local levels of goverment? Instead we get selfish, self serving, corrupted morons who DONT think at, forget WHOM THEY SERVE, and only do whats best from them their friends and families, not what is best for this Country.

When do we say, ENOUGH "This Far...NO Farther!!"

could it be time for Paul Revere to rise from the dead to warn people of the impending collapse of the Declaration of Independence? or maybe even the bill of rights?

The American-Apocalypse

Look, at what I see, in the distant far.
Four riders purge and all of man does yell.
Whence did they come; beyond the brightest star.
Man's wailing is a sad and frantic hell.

Defiled Politics, Finance, Education, Religion they do sow,
Followed by hounds ripping our Constitution apart.
Tearing Stars & Stripes, the blood does flow.
Oh GOD, end it and grant America a fresh start.
The cry for Greed & Power is their constant chant.
No mercy gave to any common-man.
American souls cling to life; they gasp & pant.
Are we all doomed; escape if you can.

Pray for us quick, We scream and We cry.
Are we too late? Too late? We die? We die?

These violent four have reaped vengeance on thee.
We're apart; slashed & ripped & torn & cut.
Our eyes are gone; bloody sockets can't see.
Blood, waste and slime are oozing out our gut.

We feel agony and our stench is foul.
Four thieves steal our life; eaten by hounds.
Our remains are no larger than a bowel.
The country is gory; blood covers the grounds.
Our juices sucked in; the soils will soften.
No praise, no prayer; nor kind word for one.
All is lost; no priest, no grave, nor coffin.
From this terrible fate no man can run.

These four horsemen, clad in crimson-silver,
Defiled America and our souls they do pilfer.

~ May GOD Truly Bless America ~

Turn off all the cel phone towers. Shut down all the sewage companies. Turn off all the Power to the US. Close all the gas pumps! In less than a week you will see what it means to be an American.

Imagine, no blogging, email, HDTV, cel phones, instant communication, refridgeration...

You would think the world would be quiet, but in fact... there would be a terrible groaning everywhere you turn.

Americans severely lack the skills to survive that our Forefathers had. We lack the fortitude to be men of honor.

Our forefathers built this nation on blood, sweat and tears. Men moved mountains in them days with their bare hands.

Today the majority consumer, just wouldn't hack it.

Call2Glory, you speak an unfortunate truth in some regards (my thanks to Al Gore for that gem). However, don't disregard the farmers.

I grew up WITHOUT TV, cell phones, IMs, etc. I grew up on a farm with nine other children, three of them cousins that Dad and Mom raised - because the people you describe couldn't support them.

We raised and slaughtered our own meat, grew a three acre garden, made our own bread, milked our own cows, hunted and fished. I personally worked from the time I was able to walk and think, because we ALL pulled our weight. We canned, we froze, we harvested - and we never went hungry.

We did this because we had to. Our forefathers are far from dead - they live in us and chastise us with every beat of our heart.

I learned many lessons, and the truest of all - Never count a determined American out. We can lay waste to ALL opposition if we're of a mind to do so.
