I am appalled at the story of the two "parents" in Chandler whose 2 year old weighed 13 pounds.
There are two people that should spend a good amount of their future in prison for the systematic starving of their child.
I hope they don't go before the same judge and or jury that freed the Hooters mom that killed her baby.
Why people like this procreate is beyond me.
The media needs to do more advertising of the "drop off" laws that are intact which asks people that cannot or will not tend to their infant children to drop them off at various locations and give that child a second chance to a good life.
So Michelle Obama states that she has never been as proud of her country in her adult life as she is now and Cindy McCain tries to turn it into a negative statement.
If Michelle had Cindy's past she probably wouldn't feel this way. I mean afterall Mrs McCain has been pulled up by her little bra straps many times while the American judicial system has turned the other way$.
I'm sure that Michelle Obama will accentuate the word lady during her reign as First Lady.
Firstly I will say that I have no party bias. I vote for individuals based on what they stand for and what they've accomplished.
I am prompted by a blog I read and responded to by aksjfd (A President To Be Feared) to offer the following on John McCain.
He can't secure our state borders so how can anyone expect him to secure our country?
How can anyone believe that he will have the support or ability to protect us from Middle East terrorists when he can't even "protect" us from Mexican day workers?
If you have ever complained about the illegal alien problems here in Arizona and haven't blamed it on the highest ranking and 'most influential" member of our state government your blame is off target.
This problem takes up so much media coverage and more importantly local resources that could be spent on other issues of concern.
If the Senator and Governor did their jobs properly we wouldn't need a county Sheriff to do it.
MaCain is showing signs of fatigue and possibly age with some of the mistakes he's made recently.
If the load of a campaign which has been lightened since he's become the only Republican candidate for November is too heavy for him to handle just imagine what the presidency will be like.
As a recent arrival to Arizona I can't say first hand what type of job he's done as a Senator but I have read about what past Senators had done and believe they left this beautiful state in better shape than he will be handing it over to the next Senator in.
I hope the youth of the country follow up on the support they've shown for the Democratic candidates in the primaries and come out in large enough numbers to out vote the World War ll voters and war mongers that have supported McCain for so long.
