Hey people!

I need your take.

Does it bug you Barack Obama has opted out of public financing for his campaign. He will use private money instead, and he is raising a ton.

Or do you think it is a good thing?

Or don't you care?

It's time you shared your point of view with the nation.

It just proves he is a self serving politician, like all of the rest and cannot be trusted. It shows he is not the great hope for change. Other than that, mox nix.

hey Steve if the nation really gave a shat then they would see that we dont have a politican that hasnt lied to us. OB said he would take public funds then says no at the last minut thinking he can out spend McCain because McC said he is going to use public funds. The question is "when are the American people going to wake up to the fact that the politicans want to runin our country" what ever happened to "By the PEOPLE and For the PEOPLE"?

Whose 'buying' the Office?
* The People?
* Private Interest?
Pox to the Liars!

Politicians generally do what they do best......
"Seek Attention via espousing impractical ideas,
reinforce those ideas with false claims
and blame failure on another."
..... Most are merely
....."Con Artist".

Their conception of people in general, seemingly, is to
"Control" without empiricism (logic, analysis, and synthesis) reason".
They prostitute themselves for undeserved fame and power.

It's a Personality Game!
Most are self indulgent parasites living off their host; US!
It really doesn't matter if 'anything' is done for the 'people' or not ...
what is ultimately important to the politician is only "The Politician".

The "Private Privilegled" buying the 'OFFICE'?
What's happening, America?
What's your vote worth....?
(Question-Mark ..... is Right!)

Obama can take whatever money he can get, because there isn't a person in Washington that would dispute how he gets it. The DNC sure isn't going to dispute anything he does. The reason there will be no dispute is the likes of Louis Walcott (aka Farakahn), Jesse Jackson and others would claim someone is taking advantage of a "candidate of color." I see taking private donations didn't help Jackson when he ran for the office a few years ago.

We have become too leery of what others will say about us if we attempt to stipulate how things are to be run.

It neither bugs me nor surprises me Steve. Obama will say anything and do anything it takes to win the White House.

But I don't think it's going to help him. He's starting to offend too many people. Money alone won't bail him out of that.

And Hillary is sitting in the background snickering. The Democratic Convention should be a doozy.

Actually Barrack Obama had a choice just like John McCain. What McCain did was opt for Public Financing in August 0f 2007, opening dialogue with Barrack as though if he was the presumptee he wouldn't have the treasure chest that he does from the "Average American" that John McCain panders to daily.

John McCain broke Federal Election Campaign Finance Rules, and was called on the carpet by "FEC David Mason", soon to be replaced at the behest of the President because he said "John McCain you broke the law" by opting in spending 51 million dollars and then borrowering 4 million dollars from a BANK. All the while touting the "possible" but not likely winner Barrack Obama. Remember Hillary Clinton was in the hole 20 million dollars with a total asset of 115 million over 7 years. John McCain was broke, he didn't think he was going to be up against Barrack so that is why he wanted it in stone that he too take public financing. John McCain already "flipped flopped" on the issue so why should the Obama Campaign whom raised 266 million at the end of the general election, opt to take 84 million in its place.

John McCain still awaiting the replacement of David Mason FEC Chairman in hopes of yet another Bank Loan Scandal Pass. (Archives don't lie) when all "BETTS" are off.

So hooray to Barrack Obama, and now that John McCain has flipped flopped back to public financing because he doesn't even have 84 million to match what the public has to offer.
He spent 51 million of it already. That is why is crying WOLF. So Surprise Surprise, Sarg!

Yeah it just means that he will owe (favors) to thoughs who are paying the bills.

One other thing
What really does he mean by (CHANGE)?

This was a great question Steve. Now that it is 6pm eastern standard time, the polls are in and the DEMS have filed their claim against John McCain for well, I think Goldbug summed it up on her way to cast her vote for....well I'm sure that it isn't that self-serving 4 million dollar man John McCain. I loved that show "As the World Turns" when I was just a twee little kid.

Good going Senator Obama.
Now there's even more of a reason you have my vote.

I'm not an Obama fan, but I think it is no big deal how he finances his campain. And it is no big deal that he changed his mind. He has plenty of other things about him that will keep him from getting my vote. It is good that he wont be using my taxes to finance someone (himself)I wouldn't vote for.

It's bad for McCain because he is a terrible public speaker with a small following. It's great for Obama as this is the year the Dems will get behind their candidate with as much money as they can afford. For the first time in my life, I have made a contribution to a candidate's campaign.

This is missing the point. Obama made a pledge and put it in writing. He then reversed himself proving that he is not different than the worst of Washington politicians. This is not change we can believe in.

As is typical, "We The People" are faced with choosing between two "evils". Both are liars, in my book, but then that seems to be a character trait of the politican, by and large. I listend to KFYI daily, so to keep informed of the latest "in political entertainment" aka "Guess who did what this time". As such, none of this bothers or surprises me. What DOES bug me is how little TRUE difference there is between Obama and McCain, policy-wise. I'll vote for McCain but only because I didn't think even Obama has a clue of what to do once he gets to the Big Chair. He's been all smiles and sunshine but I've yet to hear anything of substance come out of his mouth. And I do not trust the fact that he seems unwilling to participate in McCain's "town hall" meetings. He's too afraid to speak without a prepared script in his hand. We might learn what he's REALLY about!

Obama stated several times that he would not run for President in the '08 elections. Stated he didn't feel he had the necessary experience.

It would appear that not only did he flip flop on that statement but he also flip flopped on the financing. The reason is of no importance, the fact that he lied is.

The man does not make good on his word. This in my opinion makes him a perfect fit as a politician.

I'm guess I'm not trying to convince anyone of the reality of the day, but it's amazing how John McCain races to the television and claims Barrack Obama opted out or didn't keep his word, when all the time throughout his campaign he has deceived the American people by playing (chicken) basically with Obama not thinking he would be the nonminee. Spent your money and borrowed some more and told you "Oh I don't need public financing afterall" after 51 million dollars down the American Abuse Tube.

This is why the Country is in the state it is in; because people will go to sleep knowing that man just lied, cheated and stole from you and had the nerve to borrow money from a bank at 3am in the morning. Then wake up and vote for him as though he is their "Officer and a Gentlemen" of the Year.

Well as of today, David Mason, is no longer head of the Federal Elections Commission so John McCain may get yet another Bank Scandal pass (maybe or maybe not). But thats okay, as long as Obama looks like OJ at the end of the day.

Vote Obama, save yourself four more years of shame, shame on you! Isn't a 2.7 trillion dollar deficit, no exit strategy other than "Sanctions" and 4200 dead soldiers and counting enough of a "Surge" in your life! Stop flipping and flopping towards a LOSER who tells you he is clueless when it comes to the ECONOMY!

Neither Obama nor McCain have a clue when it comes to the economy. Our only hope is that whoever gets into the White House appoints someone who does.
As to Obama's "change", where's the meat? I have not heard one word as to a plan for all this "change"!
Both candidates favor amnesty for the millions of illegals who are draining all of our resources. Even McCain, coming from a border state has turned a blind eye to the seriousness of the situation. Even so, a vote for McCain is a vote for winning the war on terror, instead of a vote for admitting defeat and opening the door for more 9/11s.
McCain for president, the lesser of two evils.
