What I’m about to tell you will make your hair stand on end. We could possible have more oil reserves than all of the Middle East and the Gulf of Mexico. Over the years prior to 1996 the major oil companies drilled a lot of holes around the North Dakota are didn’t find what they were looking for and went on to drill the Gulf of Mexico where oil deposits were proven to be. A Geologist working for the U.S.G.S. named L.C.Price performed extensive chemical analysis of abandoned oil wells in the North Dakota area and arrived at the conclusion that “The Bakken Trend” has 200 to 500 Billion barrels of oil untapped under ground. This is not Shale Oil but true oil reservoirs. Price turned in his report to the U.S.G.S. in 1999 and they started their own review of his work. Mr.Price died in 2002 and the U.S.G.S. is still holding on to his report and refuses to release their findings.

Now I find this mighty strange with the circumstances we find ourselves in as far as oil is concerned. This could possibly make us independent from those middle east leaches we have been forced to deal with for so long. Don’t try to read any particular politics into this as it has been known about by several administrations or their representatives. As the friend of mine who brought this to my attention put it “ Strange?? You bet! But then nothing is strange when it is overseen by our good old government and huge sums of $$ are at stake.” “ Could there be forces at play or Cabals here or overseas that for unknown reasons don’t want to shut the money off and quit feeding the Middle East with Billions of our dollars every month?”

Item:

1. The U.S. Geological Service issued a report in April 20'08 what only
scientists and oilmen knew was coming, but man was it big! It was a
revised report (hadn't been updated since '95) on how much oil was in
this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota; western South Dakota; and
extreme eastern Montana ... check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska's
Prudhoe Bay , and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence
on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it
at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable... at
$107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3
trillion.

'”When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see
their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.” says Terry Johnson, the
Montana Legislature's financial analyst.

'This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found
in the past 56 years,' reports The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It's a
formation known as the Williston Basin , but is more commonly referred
to as the 'Bakken.' And it stretches from Northern Montana, through
North Dakota and into Canada . For years, U.S.oil exploration has been
considered a dead end. Even the 'Big Oil' companies gave up searching
for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological
breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves... and we now
have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light,
sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER
BARREL!

That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 41 years
straight.

2. And if THAT didn't throw you on the floor, then this next one
should - because it's from TWO YEARS AGO, people!:
U.S.Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World!
Stansberry Report Online - 4/20/2006 -- Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the
surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in
the world is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005, President
Bush mandated its extraction.

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders,
than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official
estimates:
-8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia
-18-times as much oil as Iraq
-21-times as much oil as Kuwait
-22-times as much oil as Iran
-500-times as much oil as Yemen- and it's all right here in the Western
United States .

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this!? Because the
democrats, environmentalists and left wing republicans have blocked all
efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil.

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study, says “we've got more oil in
this very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2 TRILLION
barrels. Untapped. That's more than all the proven oil reserves of crude
oil in the world today,” reports The Denver Post.

Checking with Snopes.com, they feel some of the numbers may be exaggerated but do not say this is untrue. I for one will ask our delightful Senator Reid if he knew anything about this find. Maybe you should all do the same. If this proves to be true I think it’s time to get rid of the entire bunch of them. We saw how much money they took from Fannie and Freddie, how much do you think they have sequestered away from the oil barons of the world just to keep this quiet? It doesn’t take a genius to understand these type of economics, it’s simply one for you and ten for us cause we are elitists and deserve more.

And that’s my opinion,
Don

Very interesting Don.

"And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!"

That means 50 cents a gallon!!!

I've seen USGS maps of oil sands deposits, but this is unheard of.
The left wing is crazed when it comes to energy. Now we hear Obama wants to bankrupt coal factories. No doubt conservatives can be "managed" too. But if Bush really mandated oil extraction in this area in 2005, it's really hard to imagine how that went under the radar?

Very interesting? You suggest we keep the out of date transportation?Become even more oil dependant so we can WARM the globe even more? How about we drive cars powerD by electricity or hydrogen. Why do we need to drill more of that nasty polutant up to ruin the enviornment?
We eventually gave up horse back for the CAR logically the car will be replaced aswell........
Did anyone ever think that maybe oil is not the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CuCu, are you aware that plastics are made from oil? Dude, do some research, global warming is a hoax. The earth heats and cools without us little people. Al Gore and others just want more excuses to raid the treasury. Why don't you just give them 75% of your paycheck right up front, so they don't have to invent these expensive little gimmicks to get it from you.

Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.
Concern for man and his fate must always form the chief interest of all technical endeavors. Never forget this in the midst of your diagrams and equations.

Imagination is more important than knowledge?? I suppose imagining that you know how things work is actually as effective as knowing how things work? Insanity: thinking that your thoughts are as effective as actions.

The boy tries to be a philosopher, ignoring the point of the blog which is to get off our DEPENDENCE on foreign oil. Put your agenda aside next time you try to read something and maybe you'll have a little more comprehension.
