The most bizarre activity on this community site is not when adults curse and call each other names. It's not even when ignorant remarks are made about different people groups. Although, I recently saw a comment with every other letter in alternating upper and lower case. (How do you do that?)

The most bizarre activity on this site (to me) is when people turn off comments that were previously on and proceed to post really long essays. Or when bloggers post their heart-felt ideas only for the purpose of vilifying dissenters. The end result is the same, a one-way conversation. What can that accomplish? What purpose does it serve to give of yourself that way and not allow anything back in return? How self-defeating. I've learned so much on this one site alone just hearing/listening to what people have to say. It doesn't matter how crude or vile. Most of the time, it's gold.

Sometimes we complain when leaders conduct one-way conversations but remain experts doing the very same thing ourselves. Is this just a sign of the times?

I'm not certain I would call it a sign of the times. Some people like to preach and some can't stand the heat.

We have a colorful group here that participate in the conversations/debates. I usually just pass the blogs that have the comments disabled along with the blogs by the one person that deletes all the comments. It doesn't bother me that the comments are disabled, I only wonder what their reasoning is. As for the one that deletes, well at least I know where to not waste my time.

I didn't see anything posted with alternating upper and lower case. I thought only grade schoolers did that.

Defeats the purpose of even going to a blog site, don't you think? They don't want your comments, well who wants their blogs? I usually skip over them.

I was a bit surprised at first with the way people go about making their points and "discouraging" those who did not agree or was not "their kind", but I quickly caught on.
My belief is that there are some people out here that have issues with their insecurities and find comfort in, at least, mocking other's and going as far as being bigoted and hateful.
Internet muscles is kind of like beer muscles and some people "flex" them thinking others will think they are tough or successful.
I have always found it so that it is usually the small dogs that do the most barking.

The people who turn off the comments want to "preach" to everybody, without fear of rebuttal.
As for the people who delete?
They have no control what so ever, over anything that happens in their lives in the real world.
But here in the imaginary world of cyberspace, the delete button gives them a feeling of power and control. It's the only time in their pathetic existence where they actually feel as if they "have a pair".
I find it bizarre that some people attach so much importance to what total strangers on the internet think about them.
If a person is that sensitive about what is posted on the internet, by a person they will never have any contact with in the real world, they probably shouldn't be exposing themselves to a public forum like blogging.
Admittedly, things can go too far, and people cross the line. God knows I've done it more than once. But come on! It's the internet. It is what it is, it's ENTERTAINMENT!
Nothing said here today, is going to affect anyone's life tomorrow. And if it does, someone has issues!
Or maybe my response is just bizarre and should be deleted. :)

There is also an issue with the corporate owners of this blogsite selectively silencing dissenters.

Certain bloggers blog topics are never featured.
But its the same, certian news stories are never reported on either.

I do what I do cuz I see the trainwreck at the end of the street. I saw the breakdown of the financial system coming 1 year ago.
lol Thats why Im heavily invested in precious metals now, our currency is devaluing, that why everything costs more now.

Gasoline is half the cost in mexico than it is here, things cost more when your dollar is worth less.
But still, the news reports the reason is market supply and speculation. Well if that was true it would cost the same in mexico, not 50% cheaper.

in 1 year, we will be in total depression, politicians arent talking about issues,

The police are wear black ski masks now, the gov is spying on us, they ignore our "GOD GIVEN" rights, I guess they are above GOD now.

And some people just laugh & snicker and strut aroound running their mouth about needing to carpet bomb the middle east while waving the flag and wearing their GW Bush "IS GREAT" t-shirt.
The gov spends nearly 1 trillion on wars, they spend ZERO on the levees they are responsible for and nobody seems to care.
Im digressing but nothing well get better, we'll lose our country if people dont wake up and start rasing hell to stop the dictators in office and the other ones lying to us to get in office.
Patriotism to me is like what Thomas jefferson said, its to the country and never to a president. Our prez authorizes torture and ag

as always my comments are too long and get cut off,
I just wish some people would look into what i say and not laugh it off.

Things are more serious today then they were yesterday.
But maybe when we see a total collapse of the monitary system and it effects your back pocket, then you'll wake up and realize, things about the politicians and the gov and their evil master plan of making you accept a 1 world dicatorship government was true.

We still have time to raise hell and force our freedom on them instead of accepting the laws on us taking our freedom.

OBAMA lied to us, said he opposed the warrantless spying program.
Then you voted him into the nomination, then he votes YES on the FISA bill and now fully supports the killing of your 4th amendment "GOD GIVEN' right to privacy.

And then i watch all of you NOT SAY A GOD DAMN word about it.

Thats what makes me tick the way I do, I dont enjoy authority in black ski masks minding my bidness, DONT LET THESE PEOPLE WALK ON YOU CUZ THEN THEY WALK ON ME TOO.

I fight for your freedom everyday, everywhere and in every way.
Your freedom is also my freedom.

Thats not a conspiracy.

The terrorist attacked us cuz they hate & want to destroy our freedom Bush said.

Then why is it the politicians that are destroying our freedom for them?

Killing our 4th amendment right to privacy by spying on us is giving the terrorist a victory.

Why would our gov give the terrorist a victory? DOESNT MAKE SENCE.

The gov is the terrorists, they manipulate their words, spin the meanings of what they say and they are they ones who hate our freedom and a fake war on terror is the trick that will help them accomplish what they want but told you terrorist are doing it instead.

You got to understand, the boy who cried wolf wasnt believed either, but the moral of that story is to make you think, he might be right so you have to ask questions and make sure he is or isnt, NOT LAUGH ABOUT IT.

They killed 3000 of us on 911 to give their story credibility.

So I know 100% the people who are our leaders can and are willing to kill and are able to kill more of us.

Thats frightening thought, not many things creat fear in me, so Im standing up to fight to confront them and prevent more os us from being killed by them in order to sell their agenda to the rest of us so they make billions of dollars, get 1st class priviledges while we get the short end of every stick.

Obama seems like a nice guy, so does mccain but their job isnt to be a nice guy, their job is described by the powerful interests in the world that dont care about any of us.

It doesnt matter, at the end of the day I know I tried my hardest fighting for our freedom. and i know not many people help out.

A guy got hit by a car, an old man and he just laid in the street bleeding and everybody just went on their way and nobody helped him either.

Remember when fox reported on that story?

So thats what im talking about, what wrong with americans?
Thats not how we use to be?
Thats why we are losing now in the fight for our freedom, nobody cares or has the time and are so self centered now.
GOD help us cuz we arent that far away from being enslaved to the gov rule of law that doesnt apply to them, just us.

My comments are mostly platinum, with a few golds thrown in when I am having an off day.

I responded to the blog titled CORRUPTION just a few blogs below this one. I shot holes in his comments. The next day, my comments were deleted and he took away the ability to respond to his post.

In most cases, I think the reason people don't allow coments is because they are clueless. They just don't know how the system works.

When I post a blog or comment, I LIKE people to disagree with me. There are a few liberals on here that I WANT to insight. I enjoy the interaction. I don't mind name calling against me, but I don't like people getting severe with name calling of others because I don't want people to be driven away. I enjoy blogging and want others to enjoy it too.

NOWMD/TAILTAPPER/INFOWARRIOR/ENEMYCOMBATANT/LIVINGLEGEN
D/EVERY OTHER NAME YOU'VE USED AFTER THE NUMEROUS TIMES YOU'VE BEEN BANNED,
You've demonstrated right here why no one takes you seriously or pays any attention to what you have to say.
You come onto every blog, and regardless of the topic, turn it into an opportunity to post page after page of the same thing, over and over again. And then when you are ignored, you come off with this "I'm smart and you're all idiots" attitude.
Any valid or factual comments you might make, are overshadowed or lost due to your "in your face" strong arm tactics, and your constant attempts to hijack everyones' blog.
Post your own blog, and if people want to hear your opinion, or respond to it, they will. If you get no responses, take the hint. The fact that you've been banned numerous times, should tell you something.
Get a clue. It's not the message that people oppose,(this is a forum for expressing opinions, beliefs, etc.)it's the tactics of the messenger that people find offensive!
Sorry PJ, I didn't mean to get off the bizarre topic of your bizarre blog. How bizarre of me. :)

Yeah KenOfAZ is right. People don't have a clue and they don't like to be corrected or at least when they know they are wrong. And they delete the comments for purposes of their own stupidity.

I've deleted posts from my blog for several reasons. And the size of my manhood was not one of them. Nor my inferior feelings towards the world!

When a post attacks another person or is totally off topic (anyone see that happen recently? lol), I hit the delete key. It is not so much censorship of a belief I disagree with, but more to keep the integrity of the post.

The delete key is there and I will use it again if I believe it needs to be used. But I will not use it to delete a post in an attempt to silence an opposing view.

BOB, Maybe i should be restricted to the "FREE SPEECH ZONE" so nobody can hear me then, what country you think this is? China or Russia? Just answer the question, how can buildings collapse at free fall speed? There is only 1 answer to that question, but you refuse to answer it and pretend it doesnt matter THIS ONE IS FOR YOU. OBAMA, Can you spare some change?

NOWMD, Obviously your reading and comprehension skills are seriously lacking. Read the last paragraph of my comment. Read it as many times as you have to, or have someone read and explain it to you!
You totally missed the point!
NOWHERE, I repeat, NOWHERE, did I attack your comments or beliefs, DID I?!
I said I disagree with your TACTICS! GET IT?
As for what our Government is "doing" to us?
I could give you lessons Einstein!

Enough nowmd! Give it a rest! BOB54 is correct, you may have some good comments but you are so irritating in the way that you deliver them that people want to turn you off.

BTW, I didn't vote Obama into anything yet you lump us all together in your rant. Do you ever read what you write? And.....you are hogging PJ's blog site.

Concerned about government and various current events, I started blogging to find how other people were thinking and to share my own thoughts. I'm most interested in politics, energy, and education these days. We are experimenting with life without a television, so I gather news from a variety of sources. Reading real books is a high priority too. It's amazing how informative they can be! I'm an east coast native who loves Arizona and the little bit of wild west that's left.
