Happy 4th of  July!

Working on the 4th of July is really kind of fun.  The station takes on a totally different atmosphere.  Everyone seems to be in a good mood.

And because we’re working on a holiday, we also did a little celebrating on our own.  Ray Garcia- one of our directors -  manned the barbecue and did an amazing tri-tip.  And everyone else brought in a dish to pass.  It was an amazing 4th of July cookout – the only thing weird about it?  It was at 9 am!   That’s lunch time for us!

We’re all sitting around our desks right now, trying to stay awake after that huge meal.

I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend and also I hope we all keep in mind our men and women in uniform overseas fighting to insure our liberty and freedom.

Rick

Yea,
Lets celebrate the birthday of our countries freedom by reading:

The FISA spying authorization act.

The patriot act

The military commissions act

And the list goes on ............

And lets toast the gov for destroying the freedoms granted to us this day in 1776

Its a damn shame if you dont recognize, stand up and speak out about what the gov has done to the things this day is suppose to be remembered for.

We thank the men and women in uniform overseas fighting to insure our liberty and freedom.

BUT WE SHALL NEVER STOP EXPOSING THE TREASONIST POLITICIANS RESPONSIBLE FOR DESTROYING THOSE FREEDOMS SO MANY HAVE DIED DEFENDING.

Its such an irony, and if you cant stand up and speak out about it and get censored by the media trying to do so, then your equal in the blame for the destruction of our libery.

The answer to 1984 is July 4th, 1776

Rick--were you just thinking about the soldiers in Afghanistan? If you are including those fighting in Iraq, you should have asked that we keep in mind those fighting for the rights and freedoms of Shiite Muslims in Iraq.

How many of you patriots put out the American Flag and flew it on the 4th. Did you know that 99% of all Americans did not display a Flag or show their appreciation for what they have. It was primarily a paid holiday and bar-b-que and party time for them.

azRazz-

I LOVE that insight.
~~~
Yes it is sad that the 4th is now associated as a free day off of work to have a BBQ, etc.
~~~
alski-
I agree that it does stink nowadays. But I wouldn't go as far as that my American pride is no longer. Because its not. I AM proud to be an American, although this country is beginning to show the signs of deterioration.
