Is there anyone else out there that still listens to, and enjoys the sound of a vinyl record? (For you youngsters out there, a large disc of usually black vinyl that has music on it, recorded into grooves that require a turntable with a needle to play). Does anyone else appreiciate the sound, the extended headroom, and overall better clarity (if everything is clean and undamaged) that you get with an LP? So much better than a CD, or worse yet, the compressed music everyone seems to use on MP3's and downloads. I do realize that if you didn't keep your equpiment from the 70's & 80's, it can be very, very expensive, $300+ for a decent turntable, or even if you just need a new cartridge, they can run up to $600 for a good one, but in my opinion the investment is worth it. I would love to hear some opinions on this, good or bad.

Just watched a segment on FOX10, (5/4/08 9pm news) about some of the gimmicks out there that claim to increase gas mileage. A good report all in all, debunked all the things they showed, but in the tips they gave to actually increase mileage, (keep your car maintained, tires properly inflated, filters clean), they left out the most important thing anyone can do to increase mileage. PUT YOUR RIGHT FOOT ON A DIET! (Slow down, accelerate more slowly, decrease speed more gradually, use cruise control where it is safe and above all drive courteousely. Not that I'm not guilty of not doing these things, but I do try). these will increase your mileage much, much more than any gimmick could. As a bonus it might make the valley a more pleasent place to drive. (Or at least less aggrivating). BTW if anyone knows of a device (gimmick?) that does work I would love to know.

Does anyone even look at the ad at the top of this page when it comes up? I try to do my best to hit the "close ad" icon as soon as I can. Just wondering if anyone pays attention to these things. Thanks for your opinions.  It,s not really entertainment,  but there is no I hate advertisement catagory!

Does anyone actually care about the american idol cr*p? Why does it lead the news stories after a show? And why does Fox 10 show so much coverage? Does anyone have a reason (other than ratings) . I would love an answer, especially from Fox execs themselves.  I also welcome any and all comments (pro or con). Tell me what you think.

a segment on fox 10 the other night was about  a online game called border patrol, a shoot-em up game just like so many others out there. re:grand theft auto..yada...yada why is this one any worse?
